SHAZAMChek® Cards from MasterCard® and TSB Bank

Are you tired of carrying your checkbook and writing checks to make the simplest purchases? The SHAZAMChek MasterCard debit card from TSB Bank allows you to make purchases quickly in the store and online, as well as gain access to your accounts through our network of ATMs.

Your SHAZAMChek debit card is tied to your checking account. When you make a purchase, the money is automatically withdrawn from your account. No more writing checks or fumbling with cash!

If you do need cash for a specific reason, your SHAZAMCheck debit card can be used at any TSB Bank ATM or ATM with the Privileged Status logo on it without incurring a service fee.

How do I activate my new card?

For Debit Cards, dial 1-800-717-4923 from a phone number we have on file for you. Please have your account number and password tied to the account the card is for SHAZAM’s verification system. For brand-new cards, wait for a pause after your card activation and follow the steps to set up your own PIN (Personal Identification Number).

How do I change my PIN?

To change an existing PIN for your Debit Card, dial 1-800-717-4923 from a phone number we have on file for you. Complete the activation process and then follow the audio instructions to change your PIN.

Using Your SHAZAMChek Debit Card- Debit vs. Credit

When making a purchase, you can request that your card be run as “debit” or “credit”:

  • Debit- you will need to type in your PIN. Your purchase will be processed through the ATM network.
  • Credit- your signature will be required, and the transaction will be processed through the MasterCard network.

Whether you use debit or credit, the funds will be automatically taken from your account.

Receive extra peace of mind when shopping online by using MasterCard SecureCode. By signing up for this additional layer of security, you can eliminate the chances of your debit card information being used fraudulently. Sign up for MasterCard SecureCode here.

Fraud Detection from SHAZAM

If a transaction is made with your card that is outside of the area or for a large amount, you may receive a text message alert from 72718 or an automated phone call from 855-219-5399.  If you don’t respond to the text or call, you can call us at 800-920-2085 during banking hours or the Shazam Fraud Department at 855-219-5399. This is one way SHAZAM and TSB Bank are working together to stop debit card fraud.

Should your card be declined, this is because the transaction is outside of your purchasing area or pattern. You will receive a call from a SHAZAM Fraud Specialist to verify your purchase. If the transaction was legitimate, the transaction will be processed and the details added to your card profile. This will help increase the chances that the next time you make a similar purchase, the transaction will be seen as legitimate.

*We recommend downloading the SHAMZAM Bolt$ app to your phone or other mobile device in order to have the ability to block and unblock your card at your convenience.
