On Tuesday, July 23rd, 2002, RAGBRAI came through Titonka on its route
between the overnight stays in Emmetsburg and Forest City. The Titonka
Community Club organized a lunch for the RABRAI riders with proceeds going
toward four local projects. Many Bank employees volunteered for the effort.

This corner of Main Street was busy with people
filling up their water bottles from the station set up at the center-right
of this picture.

The drive up canopy and alley behind the bank were popular places for
participants to rest and meet with their support vehicles.
The sidewalk in front of the Bank provided some
welcome shade for participants to sit down and rest for a time.
Titonka's Main Street was closed so bikers could
use the area for relaxing and socializing.
The bike stands in front of the EMS building were
made by stringing rope between a pair of tractors. They were full of bicycles
most of the day.
Antique farm machinery was on display for the RAGBRAI
bikers.
Thousands of bikers visited Titonka for RAGBRAI
on July 23rd.
The buffalo in the background was a popular spot
for particpants to take their picture. The EMS building on the right side
of the picture housed the Community Club meal lines.
Titonka (big black buffalo in the Sioux language)
had a buffalo available for the RAGBRAI riders to use for a photo opportunity.
