Bank President's Statement - 04/28/2012
TSB Bank has been making strides in the process of recovering from the disastrous fire that occurred at its Titonka Office location on Sunday morning, April, 15th.
Effective Monday, April 30th, the Titonka Office has moved from its temporary location at the Titonka Community Center to a “more permanent temporary” modular banking facility located at 47 Second Avenue NW, Titonka. This is just west of the pocket park in downtown Titonka.
This modular banking facility comes equipped with a teller line and several offices. It has a drive-up teller window located on the north side of the bank which may be accessed from the alley between the modular banking office and the pocket park. We also have a night depository located on the north side of the bank. Please stop in to visit with a member of our banking staff if you will need to use the night depository as a key is required for its use.
We appreciate the cooperation and assistance we have received from those who have made it possible for us to quickly obtain, and move into the modular banking office. The City of Titonka, Titonka Municipal Utilities, Titonka Telephone Company, Alliant Energy, Turnkey Associates, Turnkey Securities and Reutzel Excavating and all others who have provided assistance.
We are in the process of working to get an ATM machine installed for the convenience of the Titonka Area Community.
The Boyken Insurance Agency, Inc. will be located in the south end of the Titonka Consolidated School building as the school has graciously provided us the opportunity to rent a portion of their facility that they are currently not utilizing.
We plan to access the vault mid-week to remove the safe deposit boxes from the vault to a secure location. Professional safe deposit box movers will be employed for this process and a bank officer will be on site throughout the moving process. In addition, law enforcement will be on-site during the moving process. Once the moving process has been completed, safe deposit box holders may access their safe deposit box. If they would like, our safe deposit box customers may transfer the contents of their safe deposit box to an open box in either our Forest City or Thompson banking office. Of course, they also have the option continuing to utilize their safe deposit box in it’s new, temporary secure location. We will notify our customers when the move of the safe deposit boxes has been completed and the safe deposit boxes are accessible.
Please be assured that we are working diligently to get the debris from the fire removed. There are a number of regulatory and insurance hurdles that must be crossed before this process can begin.
I want to thank our entire banking staff for their support, long hours, and extra efforts they have put forth, working as a team, to make possible all that we have accomplished in a very short time.
In addition, the support and prayers from our customers and from many others in our communities as well is deeply appreciated and cherished. Thank you.
We are in the very early preliminary stages of conceptualizing as to how we will build a new banking facility in Titonka. Rest assured, we will rebuild in Titonka.
Allan J. Boyken, President/CEO
