Bank President's Statement - 04/15/2012
TSB Bank's Titonka office suffered a fire loss early Sunday morning, April 15. Plans are being made to open a temporary office location in Titonka as early as 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.
The bank's vaults are intact so items in the Titonka safety deposit boxes remain secure. We have also arranged for 24 hour security of the fire scene until we are able to gain access to and remove the safety deposit boxes. When we are able to do so, we will have a security firm on site to supervise the process.
We expect the bank's Forest City and Thompson offices to be open and fully operational on Monday, April 16. We will continue to provide updates on our website as more information becomes available.
We appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers and concern as we deal with this unfortunate event. We are thankful that we have only sustained property damage - all of which can be and will be replaced.
We also want to express our gratitude to all of the emergency responders and all of the townspeople who have assisted us, provided food and expressed their concern. The fire departments and EMS personnel from Titonka, Burt, Woden and Algona all responded quickly and their work allowed us to save the southern-most portion of our Titonka office. The Red Cross was also here to lend support and assistance.
We will persevere through this challenge and with the help of our employees, our loyal customers and others, we will continue to provide safe, friendly banking services at each of our offices in Titonka, Forest City and Thompson.
Thank you for your patience, support and understanding.
President and CEO
