Community Pool Donations in Titonka, Forest City, and Thompson
TSB Bank raised a total of $4,709.95 for the swimming pools in Titonka, Forest City, and Thompson this summer with our various fund raisers. Counting the money collected from our bake sales, root beer float day, jeans days, pool parties, and matching funds from each office, TSB Bank is giving our community pools a total of $4,709.95! The breakdown is Titonka - $1,895.75, Forest City - $1800, and Thompson - $1,014.20.
TSB employees presented Forest City Parks and Recreation Director Sue Edmondson $1,800 to purchase two benches for the playground area of the new aquatic center. Employees of TSB raised the money by having a bake sale, a root beer float day, employee jeans days, and a bank sponsored pool party at the aquatic center. TSB employee Julie Olson presented Arin Anderson of the Thompson pool a check for $1,014.20 from their “Steppin Up” campaign this summer. Funds were raised by having a bake sale, root beer float days, employee jean days, and a pool party. The money will be used for updating the bathhouses. They would like to thank the people of their communities for their participation.
TSB President, Allan Boyken, presents a check to Pool Supervisor, Katie Frerichs and Katie Gannon, from the City Council Pool Committee. The initial money donated to the pool after the bake sale ($1170.75) was used to buy safety equipment, such as drain covers. How the remainder of the money that TSB donated to the Titonka pool is to be spent ($725) will be determined at the September City Council meeting.
